This video shows an interactive experience based on augmented reality technology. The basic idea is simple but powerful: open the box, and a new story unfolds.

Stars and planets appear from within the box to create a miniature solar system orbiting around you. Or, a climbing plant might appear and start growing towards the clouds. Or, a toy spaceship will lift off the ground and start its journey to the moon. Possiblities are literally endless!

Alternatively, we can choose to use a different physical object instead of the box. For example, we could use a book so that when its pages are turned, different animated cut-out illustrations pop up to deliver a story, page by page.

This experience aims to recreate different feelings that mostly take place during childhood, which is why we´ve chosen a naïf visual style for the concept work. We think it really suits the mood!

Technically speaking, the box is tracked in 3D using computer vision technology, meaning that the virtual objects that emerge from it stay tacked onto a point relative to the position and orientation of the tracker. This allows for a more responsive experience and a greater degree of interaction.
